Law Office of George W. Weaver

ABOUT THE FIRM

A North Georgia family firm. Forty years and counting.

The Law Office of George W. Weaver carries forward a North Georgia legal tradition started in 1985 by George W. Weaver — the first District Attorney of the Appalachian Judicial Circuit. Today the firm is led by his son, George W. Weaver Jr., from the same practice on the Jasper square.

Our founder built this practice on a simple discipline: prepare every matter as if it will be tried, communicate plainly with the client, and protect the client at every stage of the case.

Today the firm continues that work in Jasper, serving clients across Pickens, Gilmer, Fannin, Cherokee, Dawson, Forsyth, Hall, Gordon, Union, and Towns counties. Our docket spans criminal defense, family and domestic, civil litigation, and personal injury.

We take fewer matters than a high-volume firm and we run them tighter. Every file has a written case plan. Every matter is reviewed for issues — suppression, Brady, discovery, lien exposure — before negotiations begin. Clients never wonder where their case stands.

We are not a marketing firm with lawyers attached. We are a small Georgia trial practice that takes intake seriously, prepares relentlessly, and tries cases when trial is the right answer.

Direct attorney access

You will speak with a lawyer about your matter — not just a paralegal or intake coordinator.

Written case plans

Every matter has a documented strategy, milestones, and decision points before pleadings are filed.

Local courtroom familiarity
